Strohschein's Hütte - Emberger Alm

Our family-friendly, self-catering alpine hut is located at 1800 m above sea level in the family hiking paradise Emberger Alm in Carinthia. On two floors and a living area of approx. 130 sqm, we offer sleeping facilities for a total of nine people in three bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen and a cosy dining or living room, internet connection, satellite TV, a small hut shop, washing machine, tumble dryer as well as a covered garden table, deck chairs and much more in the outdoor area for your relaxing holiday in nature. Our high mountain climate offers optimal conditions for an allergy-free or at least an allergen-reduced stay. We invite you to slow down and relax, or to spend an active holiday in our fantastic mountain landscape. EXPERIENCE NATURE 200 km of hiking trails in a largely untouched alpine paradise. Across sweeping, gentle alpine meadows to the striking summit experience - right on the doorstep of our alpine hut you can climb our local mountains Hochtristen and Knoten. The Emberger Alm is one of the 4 best flying areas for hang gliding and paragliding in Europe. The great thermals and the favourable location attract hundreds of flying enthusiasts to the Emberger Alm every year. Wonderful, dark nights, no extraneous light, little wind and much more. The location of the Emberger Alm is perfect for amateur astronomers for many reasons. Our family ski area on the Emberger Alm with three T-bar lifts and a practice lift ranges from 1650 metres to 2200 metres above sea level. Look forward to 10 kilometres of slopes in all three levels of difficulty.
